Anthony Snyder brings over a decade of clinical expertise and a compassionate, strengths-based approach to his work with older adults and their families to navigate complex emotions and move forward in their relationships. With a Master’s degree in Social Work and extensive training in various therapeutic modalities, including CBT, DBT, Motivational Interviewing, and Narrative Therapy, Anthony creates an empathetic and supportive environment for his clients to explore their inner lives and foster meaningful change.
Specializing in the older adult population and those recovering from substance use disorders, Anthony is passionate about guiding individuals through life’s transitions. Often in their 50s, 60s, and beyond, his work focuses on helping clients navigate retirement, empty nesting, and the challenges of grief and loss. His work centers on helping clients discover new tools to live with joy and fulfillment, often for the first time.

Anthony’s therapeutic approach is eclectic and client-driven. He uses humor, connection, and storytelling to help clients reframe their narratives and expand their emotional range. His goal is to empower individuals to focus on internal strengths, replace negative self-talk, and embrace self-compassion through small but transformative shifts.
With a background that includes 11 years of service in the Air Force and leadership roles in prominent behavioral health organizations, Anthony is also a Master-Level Coach (MLC), bringing his expertise in both therapy and coaching to clients. Known for his kind, approachable demeanor and ability to foster trust, Anthony helps clients and families bridge understanding and develop tools to support lasting well-being.

TRAINING & BACKGROUND
Anthony’s educational journey began with a Bachelor’s degree in Forensic Psychology and a minor in Alcohol Studies, preparing him for advanced work in mental health. He later earned his Master of Social Work (MSW) from New York University, where he also completed an impactful internship focused on veteran care and trauma treatment.
